10 Months and Goin' Strong!

Tomorrow my wife and I will have been married for 10 months. Within our 10 month honeymoon we have tried 1 all-nighter of which found us both asleep shortly after midnight,  found 3+ habits that annoyed the other to no end, argued 14+ times about things we both never knew we cared about and still don’t, disagreed on 23+ topics of conversation of which consisted of many moments that one forgot what was being discussed yet continued to disagree, laughed at the other ones expense 31+ times, grossed the other one out 53+ times to the point a serious conversation had to be had, cleaned up 112+ pee puddles from a dog who has seen life flash before his eyes more than any cat has lives, and look forward to  15+ million more moments  to share.

One Happy Family!!!

Lazy Sunday

Weekends are a time for us to relax, recover from the busy week, and just enjoy eachother. This weekend we decided to head outdoors and try fishing in the lakes/ponds back behind our place. The weather was beautiful and the fish were biting! Dexter also enjoyed running through the mud and even went swimming for the first time!
Kyle actually caught him...I just got to take a picture with the prize :)

Kyle's 24th Birthday!

YUMMM!!

Opening presents :)

Kyle desperately needed some new running shoes, and I thought these were cool!
Kyle's birthday was fun. I made some of his favorite foods...corned beef, potatoes, and cabbage! Of course no birthday is complete without a beautiful cake!! It was delicious TOO!

Dexter...

The first day he came home...slightly scared, but very cute!

Right after his first "professional" haircut!

In January, Kyle surprised me with letting me get a puppy! It was very exciting...but we had no idea what we were in for with Dexter. He is one of a kind, and loooooooves us so much, but he can be quite naughty! As he's getting a little older and learning the necessary life lessons, he's been a blessing and great addition to our family!

Our First Home!

This is where we are currently living...About 30-40 minutes out of St. Louis in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo in St. Peters, Missouri. We've made some pretty fun additions to our small collection of "stuff" in the past 10 months of marriage...and are about filled to the gills in our little place! We are enjoying life here, not sure how long we'll stay!

We have had a series of visitors this spring! May was jam-packed full of people coming to explore the city (and crash at our house)!!! :) Spring in St. Louis is a very different experience from that of Wisconsin or Michigan. Here the weather spikes up to the high 80's and then drops down to the 40's the next day! And usually, following those strange temperatures comes a string of severe weather.

To start our "Springtime Experience" was Easter weekend. Ryan and Erin made the long drive down to visit us for a long weekend. Like clockwork, when they arrived, we welcomed some of the worst weather Missouri had seen in a while! Tornados touched down less than 5 minutes from our house!! It was quite eventful, and a little scary, but it didn't stop us from having a great time with the boys.

In early May we had some more visitors. My uncle Rodney and aunt Linda came down to participate in the World Master's Taxidermy Expo! It was hosted right in St. Charles and made for an interesting visit. We got to explore some of his competition, but in the end, uncle Rodney ended up taking 1st and 2nd place (in the WORLD!) with his two entries. Pretty cool!

Next to visit was Tyler and Alyssa! Their's was a short visit, but it was fun! Tyler really wanted to go to a Cardinals game, and it happened to work out that they were playing the Brewers that weekend! So we headed to the ballpark to watch the game. Brewers won, which made for a happy Tyler, and our time with them was great!

Less than two weeks later, Uncle Dete and Aunt Lori came down to visit! Their visit was especially fun. We went out to Blueberry Hill, Grant's farm (as in Ulysses S. Grant), toured the Budweiser kingdom, went to a petting zoo, visited the arch, went to another Cardinals game, and went shopping downtown historic St. Charles! It was a blast!

Feeding the camel...no big deal :)
That was it for visitors...in a month we had 4 groups of people knockin' on our door...and it was AWESOME! Next to visit are mom and dad with some friends on their motorcycles in early June. And after them Waz and Greg with Rosie...it should be great!
